General Terms and Conditions
These General Terms and Conditions (GTC) govern the rental of the timing system including operation, as well as the other services provided by Zeitnehmung Braunschweiler.
Scope
These GTC apply to all offers, bookings and contracts between Zeitnehmung Braunschweiler and its customers (hereinafter referred to as the "renter"). Deviating agreements require written confirmation.
Conclusion of contract
Requests via the form or by email are non-binding. The contract is concluded upon our written confirmation of the booking.
Services
The scope of services is based on the confirmation and the price list valid at the time. Operation of the system by our timing team is included in all rental options; the system is not rented without operation.
Prices and payment
Prices are as per the price list valid at the time. All prices are in Swiss francs. Travel, meal and accommodation costs are charged according to actual expenses, unless already covered by the official's allowance. Invoices are payable within 30 days of the invoice date.
Obligations of the renter
The renter shall provide, at their own expense and in good time:
- a covered, weatherproof shelter suitable for computer equipment for the timing system
- a 230 V electrical connection in the finish area
- a parking space near the finish for the timing team's vehicles for the entire duration of the event
- helpers for setup and teardown if needed
Ownership and operation of the system
The system and its accessories remain the sole property of Zeitnehmung Braunschweiler at all times.
The system is operated exclusively by Zeitnehmung Braunschweiler's timekeepers. Repairs or modifications by the renter or third parties are not permitted.
Cancellation and postponement
Cancellations and postponements must be notified to us in writing as early as possible. The following conditions apply:
- Cancellation up to 14 days before the event: free of charge.
- Cancellation 13 to 4 days before the event: 50 percent of the base fee.
- Cancellation 3 to 0 days before the event or no-show: 100 percent of the base fee.
- Costs already incurred, in particular travel costs, will be charged in any case – even in the event of a postponement or an incorrect date provided by the renter.
Liability
Zeitnehmung Braunschweiler is not liable for any consequences arising from a technical failure of the timing system.
Liability for damages resulting from force majeure or unsuitable conditions on site (such as weather or lack of infrastructure) is excluded.
Insurance
The timing system is covered by Zeitnehmung Braunschweiler's property insurance. The renter is liable for damage to the system culpably caused by the renter or helpers engaged by them.
Privacy
The processing of personal data is governed by our privacy policy. To the privacy policy
Applicable law and jurisdiction
Swiss law applies exclusively. The place of jurisdiction is Belp (canton of Bern), unless mandatory statutory provisions provide for a different jurisdiction.
Amendments
The version of these GTC in force at the time applies.
